about

PL

Formacje Bastarda i Sutari połączyły siły, aby stworzyć autorską opowieść o muzyce pogranicza. Zespoły Bastarda i Sutari traktując owe odmienne dziedzictwa z największym szacunkiem, stworzyły muzykę znoszącą wszelkie granice.

ENG

"Tamoj", an album by two Polish bands, Bastarda and Sutari, reaches back to the roots of Polish-Lithuanian-Belarusian border culture. Sutari and Bastarda joined forces to create their own story about the borderland music. They drew from Belarusian folk songs, Lithuanian sutartinės, as well as Polish traditional music. By studying the rich and incredibly varied sources of these regions, they tried to reach what potentially lies at the junction of these different heritages. The musicians treat various traditions with the greatest respect - creating music that breaks down borders.

Sutari Poland

the brain-child of three young women: singers, instrumentalists and performers, each from different musical and theatrical backgrounds, coming together to continue the tradition of home-made folk music. Sutari sings in the kitchen, through open windows and by the fireplace, pouring tea, walking in the woods, sitting on a bench or standing on a bridge by a lake. Sutari actually means: to harmonize. ... more
